Writer's Journal #10

In my research project, I want to answer this question: how can we implement a strong recycling system within our accounting firm right now? My audience is going to be my two bosses, Julie Bart and Travis Bart as well as all the clients that we have come into contact with and will in the future. The audience is basically going to be the people that come inside and notice the recycling system in place as well as the people that their papers are being recycled with or without their knowledge. This would be about a couple hundred people. The context is about the TSS Accounting company and the brand it represents. It would also be about the way the world has drifted to a more sustainable society. What I am trying to achieve and this is to raise awareness to recycling as well as implement the system in a company to increase client satisfaction. Increasing client satisfaction will therefore increase sales and the social presence of the company itself. Implementing the system will be like a free marketing tool because it would attract clients to our company as well as make us stand out.

Primary research for my larger research project would be extremely useful because it would make the project as thorough and complete as possible. I have easy access to primary research through myself and my two coworkers as well as the recycling facility we will find. Direct observation would be useful because we can create our own statistics based off concrete truth and evidence versus finding them online and not knowing if they are true or false. I would gain real data and the truth and I would not have to surf to figure out if it was biased or not. Interviewing would be helpful because I could talk to my other coworkers or my bosses and learn their aspect on things as well as the history because I have not been with the company very long. The people I would interview are my boss Julie and my boss Travis. I think conducting a survey might be helpful to get the ideas of what our clients think but I think in the end it would be way too complicated to figure out a survey and actually have it in place. Potentially later on we could implement a survey as well to see the results. We would interview with clients and we would learn more concrete data on what their thoughts and opinions are of our company based on our recycling system.
