RECYCLE NOW

Abstract

This poster answers the question: how can we implement a recycling system successfully within our accounting firm, TSS Accounting, right now? Research for this project focused on interviewing the owners of TSS Accounting and also looking to online sources or secondary sources for support. I found that there is a huge movement in recycling and many resources to help companies join the recycling movement. My research demonstrates that TSS Accounting needs to recycle immediately by using a centralized recycling system.
What I found out about local recycling
-
There is a recycling center right in the same city as TSS Accounting called The Recycling Experts which is also a four-minute drive from TSS Accounting.
I realized that perhaps with the right research and information of how to proceed and make the recycling system successful, this next time, it would be successful. I would have to build a good case.

As a millennial, it is incredibly important to bring about a more sustainable world especially because that is the direction that everyone is heading to. I began working at TSS Accounting in the beginning of May 2020. As I was working, I began to realize that every day we threw out several sheets of paper as a whole and as shredded paper. In my research, the main question I would like to answer is how can we implement a recycling system successfully within our accounting firm, TSS Accounting, right now?
When I was at TSS Accounting I learned
-
They had previously tried a recycling system but because it cut on company finances to put in the Time and effort it was just not worth it in the long run.
-
They had not had an assistant at the time to figure out the logistics of everything and therefore had no time to implement the recycling system in place.
-
Both Julie and Travis Bart also lacked proper knowledge of what to do to make it successful.
We need to start caring about our environment and planet before time runs out and we are left with nothing to use in our what used to be a resourceful world. Anybody that cares about themselves, their families, and their environment will be 100% on board with recycling at TSS Accounting. That’s why I’m saying to you today to make a difference in your community and look within yourself to start this process and make a better change not only for the environment but also for bettering your business. Putting the recycling system into actions starts with YOU.
